The Rabbit's Foot Fern gets its name from the fury rhizomes that grow above the soil and resemble a rabbit's foot. This plant is easily recognizable as a fern because of its lace like fronds. The small foliage grows off of wiry stalks that are attached to fuzzy rhizomes. This houseplant makes for a great window sill or table top accent as it only grows 1 - 2 feet tall.
Davallia fejeensis is an ephytic evergreen fern that is native to Fiji. It is normally found growing in humid areas where there is well draining soil. In their native habitat their furry rhizomes can be found clinging around tree trunks. As with many plants its appearance becomes more intriguing with age.
