Calathea Ornata earns the nickname "pinstripe plant" because of its lustrous variegated color. There's no doubt this houseplant can add massive value to your living space in its warm, snug and overall brilliant appeal.

Plant Biography

 Calathea Ornata is native to South America and noticed in many tropical climates such as Thailand. They are mostly found in rain forest growing under the canopies of trees. Calatheas in general require lots of shade along with well draining soil. In Brazil, natives use their distinct leaves to craft containers to hold their rice crop. They are typically slow growing but in their natural habitat they can grow up to 3 feet tall.
