Description
The Monstera Deliciosa aka "Swiss Cheese Plant" continues to soar in popularity as it boasts its glossy, heart-shaped leaves. Young plants have sturdy, upright stems and will grow out more horizontally as the plant ages.
The leathery, rounded leaves will develop the iconic perforations as they mature. Monstera Deliciosa is incredibly easy to maintain indoors making it a must-have for the amateur or expert houseplant enthusiast.
Plant Biography
The Monstera Deliciosa is native to rainforests of Central America from southern Mexico to Panama. Although it stays relatively compact indoors, in its natural environment it is considered to be a jungle giant! It is considered to be an epiphytic vine and can grow up to 70 feet or more! In spite of its common name, it's not in the Philodendron family but instead in the genus of Araceae.
